Roles & Responsibilities

Cloud DevOps Engineer – GCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) for application deployment.
• Automate operational processes such as monitoring, scaling, patching, and security hardening.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using Stackdriver (Cloud Operations) or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are cloud-native, resilient, and cost-optimized.
• Manage containerized applications with Kubernetes (GKE) or Cloud Run.
• Ensure security and compliance best practices in cloud deployments (IAM, VPC security, firewall rules, service accounts).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across infrastructure, CI/CD, and production systems.
• Work on Apigee API Management platform for both administration and development activities, including API proxies, policies, security, monitoring, and deployments
• Need to work with customers directly and should be able to work in Night shifts.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, VPC, IAM).
• Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge / Apigee X API Management (administration, API proxy development, CI/CD automation).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform preferred.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring & logging (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go).
• Good knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  
  

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• GCP Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect).
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud setups.
• Knowledge of service mesh (Istio/Anthos) and GitOps practices.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
