Role Purpose

Provide expertise in Civil Engineering to:

• Act as Lead Design Engineer, leading teams from concept through to construction.
• Define and validate technical requirements to meet project needs.
• Offer technical guidance during delivery, commissioning, and handover of assets.
  
  

Key Areas Of Accountability

• Provide technical input into projects.
• Contribute civil input into:
• Asset surveys and plant condition assessments
• Feasibility studies and optioneering
• Whole-life costing and preliminary designs
• Provide technical sign-off and assurance during delivery and handover.
• Ensure compliance with engineering-based regulatory requirements.
• Support the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Engineering.
  
  

Candidate Requirements

Were looking for someone who can:

• Be a recognised senior civil engineer with extensive wastewater experience in the water industry.
• Demonstrate strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Understand the regulatory environment and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Be knowledgeable in one or more of the following:
• Wastewater infrastructure
• Rising mains
• Wastewater network hydraulics
• Infiltration management
• Construction
• Commit to continuous professional development and actively mentor apprentices, graduates, and civil engineers in the Water Engineering team.
  
  

Location:

• Preferably co-located with the team in GTC India.
• Willingness to travel to UK sites as required.
