Job Purpose

Deliver the piping engineering in 3D platform for strip processing furnace/lines that enable to achieve operational excellence and support the growth objectives of the organisation.

Key Result Areas

Piping design for furnace, interconnecting and equipment onboard for new and modification projects

Meeting the targets around Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Innovation mindset to bring in new designs to improve functionality and reduce cost.

Key Responsibilities

3D model development using Plant 3D as per industry best practices and review with Customer progressively.

BOQ/BOM preparation from model.

Working on piping clash report and review.

Piping arrangement drawing preparation as per industry standards for installation at site.

Piping output extraction in ISOMETRIC forms as per best Industry practices.

Working on piping component Library and piping standardization.

Work in close co-ordination with other functional team members of mechanical, Electrical and

Instrumentation to achieve On Time Delivery with highest accuracy.

Aid manufacturing in case of any design queries.

Communicating with customers and participating in technical discussions.

Co-ordination with Erection and commissioning for site support.

Education and Experience

The candidate should be BE/B TECH in Mechanical / Production Engineering from Reputed college.

5 to 10 years in Piping design, from Metal/Oil/Gas Industry.

Candidate worked in multinational company will be an added advantage.

Background, Skills, and Competencies

Conversant with piping engineering for different media (hydraulic, lubrication, air, water, steam, different gases) relevant for the steel processing industry (CGL, CCL, CAL, pickling line, reversing mill etc.).

Familiar with different standards (material & dimensional) and safety norms.

AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor and Plant 3D proficiency.

Ability to bring innovation in design to improve functionality and reduce cost.

Good Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.

To be grown to become Team leader in short time.
