Job Overview

The Deputy General Manager - Information Technology will lead and oversee all aspects of IT application development and support designated regions or projects. This role also involves strategically managing IT budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high service standards

Job Description

Information Technology Operations Management

  • Provide overall leadership for the IT applications team, including administrative functions, performance evaluations, and team management.
  • Ensure the highest uptime of applications through effective collaboration with IT stakeholders.
  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, fostering clear communication and alignment.

Project and Vendor Management

  • Lead project management for IT and business initiatives, ensuring optimal time, cost, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate project slippages or issues to stakeholders promptly to manage expectations and mitigate risks.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including SLA compliance and effective vendor engagement.
  • Prepare, track, and manage IT and project budgets.

Governance, Innovation, and Documentation

  • Implement and enforce IT governance policies to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Identify key issues and develop tailored solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Document application deployments and share key learnings with vendors and end-users to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.

Sustainability

  • Promote judicious use of natural resources.
  • Adhere to the organizations environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines.

Anti Bribery Management Systems (ABMS)

  • Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities details as prescribed on the ABMS manual.
  • Understanding of ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts. For more detailed explanation, follow the ABMS manual.

Education

  • Bachelors or masters degree in IT, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent certification.
  • Additional graduate degree preferred.

Experience

  • 10-12 years of progressive experience in Information Technology.
  • Strong programming experience, preferably in Microsoft Technologies (5+ years).
  • Project management experience (1+ year), including team leadership of at least two persons.
  • Familiarity with Internet Technologies and online applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and develop effective technology solutions.
