Profile Description

We're seeking someone to join our FORT (Finance Technology) team as a Data Engineer. This role is required to support the FS analytics platform, which is a direct source of revenue for the firm through client usage fees. As external vendors such as Light Keeper and MIK continue to offer competing analytics solutions, maintaining sufficient technology capacity and the right skill set is critical to supporting client demand, growing the business, and preserving our competitive position. Backfilling this role is necessary to sustain platform delivery and support continued business expansion.

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What You'll Do In The Role

• 4- 8 years of experience in Design and maintain Snowflake dimensional models (star and snowflake schemas) for analytics and reporting.
• Build and optimize SQL transformations and views.
• Develop and support ELT/ETL pipelines from multiple source systems.
• Implement data quality checks, reconciliations, and validation controls.
• Manage core Snowflake objects, including databases, schemas, warehouses, and stages.
• Improve Snowflake performance through query profiling, warehouse sizing, clustering strategy, and resource optimization.
• Use AI tools and Snowflake AI features, including Semantic Views, for practical, measurable delivery improvements.
  
  

What You'll Bring To The Role

• 5-10 yrs of professional experience in Snowflake and related technologies.
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL, ELT and building scalable data pipelines.
• Experience with Snowflake advanced features such as Snowflake AI/ML (Cortex Analyst/Agent), data sharing, and materialized views.
• Knowledge of Python for Data Processing: Pandas, NumPy, SQL, or relevant data manipulation tools
• Knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, and modern AI/ML techniques to drive adoption
• Practical experience using AI assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Snowflake CoCo, or similar in professional workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced global environment.
• At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
