Compositing Supervisor

Job Summary:

As the Compositing/2D Supervisor at Atomic Arts India, you will oversee and lead a team of compositors and 2D artists in the creation and integration of visual effects elements, ensuring the seamless blending of CG and live-action footage. You will work closely with the VFX Supervisor and Production team to achieve the desired look and feel of the final product while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of compositors and 2D artists. Provide guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the highest quality work is consistently delivered.

2. Collaboration: Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor, Art Directors, and other department heads to establish the creative and technical vision for compositing and 2D elements.

3. Quality Assurance: Review and approve compositing and 2D work to ensure it meets the artistic and technical standards of the project. Provide constructive feedback to artists for continuous improvement.

4. Technical Expertise: Create the required Master Scripts for Seq/Shots as per the shot requirements. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in compositing and 2D work. Implement new techniques and workflows to enhance production efficiency and quality.

5. Pipeline Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of the compositing and 2D pipelines, including tools and processes to optimize the workflow.

6. Project Management: Work closely with the Production team to manage the schedule and resources, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

7. Client Communication: Communicate with clients, addressing their feedback and concerns while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Compositing/2D Supervisor in the VFX or animation industry.
• Proficiency in industry-standard compositing software (e.g., Nuke, After Effects) and other 2D software.
• Strong artistic and technical skills with an excellent eye for detail.
• Working knowledge of all the 3D world, Lighting, CG passes and comp techniques to define the work flows and deliver the best possible work.
• Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of color theory, lighting, and visual effects techniques.
• A keen understanding of post-production pipelines and workflows.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve complex technical and artistic challenges.
