Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, expertly handling inquiries and presenting reinsurance solutions to ensure outstanding client service.
Play a key role in yearly renewals for respective lines of business, ensuring effective execution of reinsurance placements.
Work together with the broking team to analyze both existing and prospective insurance portfolios, identify and develop appropriate reinsurance solutions based on clients’ strategic and operational needs.
Assist with the preparation of underwriting information, exposure data, and claims documentation to support efficient placement.
Conduct regular meetings and follow-ups with clients to gain insight into their needs, expectations, and long-term objectives. Arrange and lead meetings between reinsurers and insurance companies. Actively participating in industry seminars, conferences, and events to strengthen market expertise and expand professional networks.
Collect and analyze client feedback to enhance service delivery and strengthen business relationships. Ensure prompt and accurate handling of client requests, delivering timely solutions to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
Work in coordination with the broking support team and perform activities such as reviewing slips, contracts, cover notes and other documentations to ensure accuracy, transparency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with coverage requirements.
Deliver market intelligence and timely updates to clients and reinsurers, keeping them informed of the latest market information, industry trends and regulatory developments.
Enforce to agreed Quality Assurance standards, processes, and protocols to reduce errors and omissions, while building and sustaining trust-based relationships with clients and reinsurers.
Support in the preparation of comprehensive reports and presentations for the reinsurance market, facilitating effective communication and decision-making.
Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and pursue continuous professional development to ensure best practices.
Skills and experience:
Preferably a postgraduate Degree/master’s in finance/insurance/risk management, Business Management or Statistics
Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably in insurance/reinsurance underwriting respective LOB or reinsurance broking.
Relevant Reinsurance experience in respective domain and familiarity with the India insurance and reinsurance market.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI desirable) for producing client results.
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and marketing skills.
Attention to detail, disciplined and results orientated.
Possess strong negotiation skills and ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
Possess good analytical mind with strong intuition for business.
Willing to work hard to deliver results, adaptable to changes and a good teammate.
Key Performance Indicators:
(i) Reinsurance And Analytical Skills
ü Understanding of reinsurance structures: treaty (quota share, excess of loss), facultative, etc.
ü Ability to interpret actuarial and statistical results provided by analytical teams.
ü Proficiency with Excel is must, Power BI preferable.
(ii) Placement And Negotiation Skills
ü Ability to formulate placement strategies based on market conditions and client requirements.
ü Effective negotiation skills to secure competitive terms, pricing, and conditions.
(iii) Client And Market Engagement
ü Ability to establish and maintain relationships with agricultural insurers, and reinsurance markets.
(iv) Documentation, Compliance, And Reporting
ü Familiarity with contracts, slips, reinsurance wording and regulatory requirements etc.
