Overview

Indirect Sourcing is looking for the next great GIC Marketing Buyer to join our team!

This role will be a flex Marketing Buyer role that will span across many categories – supporting: Non-Media, Media, Marketing D&T (Martech, Ad Tech, Consumer Insights), and International Marketing.

The Buyer, Marketing will support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies that create deep supplier and business relationships. This role will provide daily support to subcategories within various categories that are to be finalized, but likely to touch non-media, media, and various D&T categories that interact with Marketing. In this position, you will interact with cross functional teams to execute Source-to-Pay processes and key category management activities.



Key Accountabilities

• Partner closely with business partners and the Marketing & DnT Sourcing team to understand business needs and priorities
• Implement Source to Pay process for all assigned areas in order to drive competitive advantage for GMI
• Build expertise in Sourcing strategies, Source to Pay processes, tools and capabilities in support of Marketing
• Deliver Total Value goals with business partners across assigned categories
• Commercialize partnerships with agreements that leverage GMI’s scale and external partner capabilities
• Proactively enhance external relationships with existing partners to create new opportunities for GMI
• Ensure GMI’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies are foremost in all supplier interactions
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-3 years of Sourcing or Marketing related experience
• Experience with contract management, risk management, market analysis, project management, financial analysis
• Possess a learning mindset and avid curiosity
• Functional understanding of GMI standard practices, tools, and processes
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and during times of significant change

• Strong communication skills and ability to connect and influence at all levels of the organization
• Strong prioritization and task-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects at one time
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results
• Experience partnering with multiple geographies and time zones
• Familiarity with General Mills sourcing processes (S2P) and Total Value framework
