As a Business Analyst at Purplle.com, you will be at the forefront of driving our daily and monthly revenue targets through precise, data-backed decision-making. You will leverage AI-powered automation and expert-level Python programming to continuously optimize platform performance, identify critical business gaps, and uncover hidden trends. In this fast-paced e-commerce environment, you will act as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, ensuring swift, data-driven course corrections that directly impact our bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Driven Automation & Process Improvement
- Design, develop, and integrate automated workflows using AI tools to streamline complex reporting processes, accelerate gap analysis, and enhance the speed of trend identification across large datasets.
Revenue Planning & Real-Time Tracking
- Meticulously plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly platform revenue numbers.
- Track performance against ambitious targets and highlight key deviations in real-time to trigger immediate corrective measures.
Actionable Category Analytics
- Deep-dive into category and SKU-level performance metrics to pinpoint high-growth opportunities and areas of concern.
- Translate raw data into actionable, strategic insights for category managers and business leadership.
Trend & Gap Analysis
- Utilize both historical and real-time data to proactively flag underperforming areas.
- Support business teams by mapping out data-backed resolution strategies and monitoring the success of implemented changes.
Dynamic Reporting & Visualization
- Architect and maintain automated, self-serve leadership dashboards using Power BI, Looker, Data Studio, or similar tools, ensuring complex insights are communicated clearly and effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Marketing, Category, Product, and Operations teams.
- Act as the central data authority to ensure all departments are aligned on business goals and equipped with the analytics necessary for execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Expert-Level Python
- Deep, proven expertise in Python programming for advanced data manipulation, automation scripting, and data wrangling (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Ability to write clean, scalable code for complex data pipelines.
AI & Process Automation
- Practical, hands-on experience utilizing artificial intelligence tools to automate repetitive business processes, optimize data extraction, and build intelligent reporting workflows.
Core Analytical Stack
- High proficiency in SQL for extracting and structuring data from complex relational databases.
- Advanced Excel skills for rapid ad-hoc analysis.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Problem-Solving & Communication
- Sharp logical thinking, a passion for numbers, and the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, strategic recommendations for non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
Industry Experience
- Prior experience thriving in a fast-paced, data-driven E-commerce environment is highly preferred.
