The Associate Vice President – Website will be responsible for driving the companys digital presence to align with brand identity and values. Additionally, the role entails strategizing, managing, and coordinating website projects globally, leveraging the site for marketing and sales, and leading a team of web professionals with expertise in digital marketing and website management.

Job Description

Website Strategy and Management

  • Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive website strategy aligned with company business objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of the website, including content creation, design, user experience, and functionality.
  • Coordinate website projects and processes across all VFS websites globally, implementing best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Design team to enhance visual appeal and responsiveness across devices.
  • Monitor website SEO performance and optimize for search engine visibility.
  • Build and lead a team of professionals (web developers, designers, SEO specialists) to execute the website strategy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new features for Online and Offline Journeys.

Regulatory Compliance and Content Management

  • Collaborate with regional heads to ensure VFS websites comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee creation and implementation of high-quality, engaging content aligned with SEO best practices.
  • Ensure website compliance with security, privacy best practices, and industry standards.
  • Monitor website analytics and user behavior to drive improvements in decision making.
  • Represent the brand effectively online, communicating its identity and values.

Financial Management and Collaboration

  • Manage website-related project budgets and provide financial updates to senior management.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT departments to align website initiatives with broader business objectives.

Team Management & Succession Planning

  • Manage and develop staff, including performance management, training, and career development.
  • Create and maintain a robust talent pipeline to ensure succession planning (1:2 ratio).

Environment, Social & Governance

  • Oversee corporate governance within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with organizational principles, policies, and regulations.
  • Promote judicious use of natural resources and adhere to the organizations environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines.
  • Drive the organizations sustainability initiatives, working towards achieving established targets.

Anti Bribery Management Systems (ABMS)

  • Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities details as prescribed on the ABMS manual.
  • Understanding of ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts. For more detailed explanation, follow the ABMS manual

Additional Responsibilities (Special Projects for AMT roles / Special or Unique Projects)

Reporting manager to add any special or unique project(s) being managed by the team member.

Education

  • Minimum: Post-Graduate or Global Equivalent Degree in relevant field such as Computer Science, Digital Media, Web Development, or a related discipline is typically required.

Experience

  • Over 12 years of work experience in website management, digital marketing, or a related role, with a proven track record of success. Experience in the BPO / Travel / Hospitality industry is an additional benefit. 5+ years should be in senior management position/level.
