The opportunity : Associate Vice President-AMI-Business Consulting CNS - BC - Supply chain and Operations- Mumbai / Delhi/ Bangalore

Sustainability and Energy Transition (S&ET) is the key focus area of today’s changing energy landscape and growth drivers for all corporates, private equity & venture capitalist firms. Countries and corporations have pledged to significantly reduce GHG emissions in order to become climate neutral. In addition, decarbonization means creating long-term value for stakeholders which will ultimately not only pay off but also open up completely new business opportunities.

EY- Parthneon S&ET (Sustainability and Energy Transition practice), we are offering a holistic end-to-end service that underlies everything we do and is a comprehensive response to these challenges. Our practice focuses exclusively on all business issues related to new energies (Renewables Energy, Energy Storage, CCUS, Green H2, Clean Fuel & Feedstock) & decarbonization (from strategy development, target setting, implementation and transformation).

As a team member of S&ET in Mumbai/ Delhi/ Bangalore, you will support the team in its activities with national and international clients on driving engagements around New Energy GTM, Decarbonization, Energy substitution, Circular Economy, etc – with passion, flexibility, and a strong appetite for change.

• Support clients in developing energy substitution and decarbonization strategies for their businesses
• Support clients in implementing decarbonization measures
• Develop ideas how to adapt target operating models
• Develop ideas for (more) cleaner products, services, and business models
• Support EY teams in their go-to-market activities (incl. events, thought leadership, project proposals)

To qualify for the role you must have:

• University degree (Bachelor - engineering and Masters - MBA)
• Degree in energy, environmental science, business, environmental economics, sustainability, or similar field will be an advantage
• 7+ years of professional experience in Business consulting, leading innovation and/or consulting projects in industries (Energy, Metals & Mining, Manufacturing etc).
• Any relevant experience in the new energies like Green Hydrogen, Solar, Wind, Biomass/Biofuel, decarbonization, environment/ climate strategy, net zero strategy, etc. will be a plus
• Passion for new business creation with hands-on approach and entrepreneurial mindset to make new business work
• New business creation skills and expertise including profound knowledge of sustainable products, services, business development, business model innovation and business case development
• High motivation and passion for sustainability, climate change and decarbonization
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem solving, well organized and structured
