Job Description

Associate, Global Markets

About AVPN

AVPN is a unique funders’ network committed to building a vibrant and high-impact social investment community across Asia. AVPN’s mission is to catalyse the movement toward a more strategic, collaborative, and outcome-focused approach to social investing, ensuring that resources are deployed as effectively as possible to address key social challenges facing Asia today and in the future.

About the Role

AVPN is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate to support the work of the Senior Manager, Global Markets, in stewarding relationships with AVPN’s most strategic members (Catalyst and Vision tiers) across Australia, the US, and Europe.

This is not a classic assistant role — while administrative and coordination tasks are part of the job, the Junior Associate will also play an active role in maintaining data quality, supporting member engagement, coordinating internal follow-up, and occasionally reaching out to members or partners directly. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into high-level relationship management and to build trusted working relationships across AVPN’s regional and thematic teams.

The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and curious, with a strong service mindset and the confidence to work independently on smaller projects. They are energized by helping complex systems run smoothly and are eager to grow into a role that blends structure with people engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Manager, Global Markets in coordinating engagement with AVPN’s Catalyst and Vision members
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in AVPN’s CRM and knowledge management systems (e.g. member records, meeting notes, follow-up actions)
  • Prepare and help track member engagement plans, timelines, and reporting documents
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely follow-up on member requests
  • Draft or coordinate internal updates, meeting briefs, and follow-up messages related to member stewardship
  • Help coordinate logistics for online or in-person engagements (e.g. small group meetings, calls, roadshows)
  • Occasionally communicate externally with members or partners, especially for follow-up or scheduling
  • Provide light research or synthesis support on member priorities, shared interests, or relevant AVPN offerings
  • Proactively flag potential gaps, risks, or opportunities in member engagement
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture, including cross-team coordination and learning

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in administration, partnerships, communications, project coordination, or client services
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working across functions and time zones in a distributed team
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience using CRM systems and collaborative platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Airtable, Notion, Slack, Google Workspace) is a strong plus
  • Eagerness to learn about social investment, philanthropy, and global impact ecosystems
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and follow through reliably
  • A team player with a strong sense of discretion, diplomacy, and service
