Role Overview

The Database Research Associate will support Marketing and Sales teams by building, enriching, and maintaining high-quality B2B contact and company databases. This role combines web-based research, data quality management, and email marketing operations, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with HubSpot or similar CRM/Marketing Automation platforms.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, internet-savvy, and comfortable working with large datasets while meeting productivity and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

Database Research & Enrichment

• Research and build customized B2B contact and company databases (contact-level and decision-maker level) as per campaign and business requirements.
• Perform extensive web research activities including list research, list building, and data mining using online sources.
• Identify and capture key contact details such as job titles, email addresses, company information, and seniority levels.
• Research mid-to-senior-level executives across global markets using LinkedIn, Google, company websites, and online databases.
  
  

• Cleanse, standardize, format, and de-duplicate data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Perform case conversions, field standardization, and basic validation checks to meet internal quality standards.
• Maintain high data accuracy levels while working with strict productivity targets.
  
  

• Support email marketing operations by preparing clean and compliant contact lists for campaigns.
• Upload, update, and manage contact data in HubSpot CRM (or similar platforms).
• Assist with list segmentation based on campaign criteria (industry, geography, job role, engagement status, etc.).
• Ensure databases follow email compliance and deliverability best practices.
  
  

• Utilize CRM systems, research tools, and online platforms efficiently to gather and manage data.
• Understand and follow defined research methodologies, documentation processes, and internal SLAs.
• Continuously improve research methods by identifying new data sources and smarter search techniques.
  
  

• Meet or exceed assigned productivity and quality targets consistently.
• Collaborate effectively with marketing operations, demand generation, and sales teams.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
  
  

• Web Research experience is mandatory
• Strong hands-on experience with internet-based research is essential
• Basic understanding of email marketing
  
  

• Strong web research and data research skills, including effective keyword usage.
• Ability to find innovative ways to source accurate contact and company information.
• High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and strict productivity targets.
  
  

• Basic understanding of email marketing concepts (lists, segmentation, campaigns).
• Familiarity with CRM or marketing databases is a strong plus.
  
  

• Good computer skills with strong internet and browser-based research proficiency.
• Ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly.
