Your day at NTT DATA

The Associate Architecture Consultant is an entry level role within the Architecture Consulting job family. This role assists internal teams with the creation of strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for less complex solutions that address the clients’ information technology environments.

This role works under the guidance of more senior consultants to provide multi-technology consulting services to clients.

This role learns to translate requirements created by functional analysts into the architecture for solutions and describes it through architecture and design artefacts that ultimately constitute the information technology architectural blueprint.

Key responsibilities:

• Assists with the analysis of client problems and recommend opportunities.
• Assists with the evaluation of relevant information technology architecture.
• Conducts technology related assessments.
• Assists with the presales and sales aspects of the consulting engagement with the client, in partnership with the NTT sales team.
• Sells solutions and services and interacts and cooperates with vendors / partners.
• Monitors and assesses the information technology industry.
• Provides input related to continuous improvement of internal tools and methods.
• Assists with the business development processes including opportunity identification, presales, scoping, deal closing and driving delivery.
• Assists with the application of design principal methodologies in order to perform a detailed analysis of the client requirements.
• Assists with the creation of strategies that define meta-architectural designs for less complex solutions.

• Entry level expertise coupled with consulting and client engagement experience.
• Working knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs.
• Excellent understanding of multi-technology infrastructure design couple with strategic thinking ability.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Extensive knowledge of systems, software and programming languages.
• Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the business strategically.
• Excellent client service orientation.
• Able to contribute to practice development and business development to a limited extent.
• Able to contribute information on relevant vertical markets.
• Continuously learning, keeping up to date on developments in specific technology domains.
• Able to contribute to the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to the improvement of current methodologies, processes and tools.
  
  

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or a related field.
• Scaled Agile certification desirable.
• Relevant consulting and technical certifications preferred, for example TOGAF.
  
  

Required experience:

• Entry level experience in a similar role within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment.
• Entry level multi-technology infrastructure design experience.
