Position Overview

As Compliance Operations Associate, you will proactively manage risk, investigate anomalies, and drive resolutions. Reporting to a Senior Compliance Operations Associate, you will protect our expert network ecosystem by validating expert profiles, resolving complex screening alerts, and uncovering structural risk trends across datasets. This is a high-impact, analytical role designed for a problem-solver who asks "why" rather than just ticking boxes and helping to drive data-driven insights.

Working hours

Please note the working hours for this role are to predominantly support the UK and US offices and therefore require flexible working -

• Three days working 10am to 7pm IST (remote) – Monday, Wednesday and Friday
• One day 9am to 6pm IST (in office) - Tuesday
• One day 9am to 6pm IST (in office) – Thursday
  
  

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, end-to-end investigations of global sanctions alerts, PEP lists, and adverse media matches on industry experts, accurately eliminating false positives.
• Adjudicate the identities of experts, conducting deep-dive research into anomalies, potential conflicts of interest, or suspicious activity.
• Analyse complex anomalous activities, undertaking comprehensive research, risk assessment, and final adjudication.
• Utilise advanced Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques to cross-reference data, uncover hidden linkages, to support outcomes.
• Test new and existing risk identification tools and support with the design of protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate, auditable documentation of all compliance reviews, case investigations, and operational outcomes.
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• Critical thinker with excellent analytical skills
• Organized to work autonomously on multiple review
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop strong working relationships across the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of KYC and AML is beneficial
• Must be fluent in English
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in Compliance Operations, Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, or Forensics Investigation.
• Certifications: CFE or ACAMS certifications are a plus but not a mandatory requirement.
