Assistant Operations Manager

Role Overview -

We are looking for a hands-on and organised Assistant Operations Manager to support and oversee day-to-day operational activities across our properties in Karjat, Lonavala, Alibaug and Mahabaleshwar.

The role involves coordinating on-ground teams, managing operational workflows, ensuring service standards, monitoring performance, and resolving day-to-day challenges. The individual will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and consistent execution across locations. This role requires strong ownership, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a practical understanding of hospitality and service operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operational activities across assigned locations and ensure smooth execution of operational requirements.
• Coordinate with on-ground teams to ensure tasks are completed within defined timelines and service standards.
• Monitor operational performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure adherence to established processes, standard operating procedures, and company policies.

Team Coordination and Management

• Coordinate with on-ground teams, including housekeeping, guest services, and other operational staff.
• Ensure adequate team deployment based on occupancy, bookings, and operational requirements.
• Track task completion, staff performance, attendance, and operational discipline.
• Support team training, performance improvement, and implementation of operational processes.

Guest and Service Operations

• Oversee guest-related operational requirements, including arrival and departure coordination, service requests, and issue resolution.
• Ensure timely coordination between teams to deliver a consistent guest experience.
• Handle escalations and resolve operational challenges with minimal disruption to service delivery.
• Work towards improving service quality, turnaround times, and overall operational efficiency.

Planning and Execution

• Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and event-specific operational requirements.
• Ensure resources, supplies, staffing, and vendor support are aligned with business needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of operational activities.
• Maintain operational trackers, reports, and updates on pending tasks, escalations, and performance.

Process Improvement and Cost Control

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, team productivity, and service delivery.
• Monitor operational expenses and ensure resources are utilised efficiently.
• Maintain accountability for operational tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
• Support the implementation of processes that improve consistency and scalability across locations.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in hospitality operations, resort operations, hotel operations, or a similar service-oriented role.
• Experience coordinating teams and managing day-to-day operations across multiple properties or locations will be an advantage.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle operational escalations independently.
• Proficiency in maintaining trackers, operational reports, and documentation.
• A hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Willingness to travel between Karjat, Lonavala, Alibaug, and Mahabaleshwar as required.
