The UFLP Manager plays a mission-critical role in strengthening Unilever’s future leadership pipeline by delivering a world-class, high-rigour, high-care experience for our management trainees. Job Responsibilities
Following are some of the key responsibilities -
Unilever Future Leaders Program
UFLP Program Leadership & Talent Development:
Crafting an accelerated learning environment for management trainees to get end to end business understanding while building depth of expertise in their chosen domain
Landing immersive learning experiences including rural, cross-functional and global exposures
Curating a nurturing support ecosystem through experienced Coaches, Mentors, Tutors and Buddies
Conducting regular connects, career conversations and pulse checks to enable performance, confidence and wellbeing
Driving thoughtful talent casting for sub-charge roles in partnership with functional leaders
Using insights and retention levers to reduce early attrition and strengthen talent readiness
Continuously evolve the UFLP construct to stay relevant to future skills and business shifts
Program Operations & Governance (End-to-End Ownership)
Owning the UFLP governance calendar, stint planning, tutor engagement and feedback rhythms
Ensuring rigor around project charters, assessment inputs and feedback loop closures
Partnering with Employer Brand and People Experience teams to deliver impactful lifecycle milestones (onboarding, capability interventions, graduation touchpoints, recognition forums)
Maintaining tight alignment with HR, senior stakeholders and MC Coaches, enabling clarity, speed and program continuity
Early Careers Insight & Campus Acumen
Staying attuned to early talent trends, evolving student expectations and campus dynamics
Providing insights that shape development journeys and talent planning
Collaborating closely with the campus hiring team to ensure smooth transition from offer to onboarding and onward into the program
Additional Responsibilities
Manage program budgets, vendors and capability partners in line with governance
Support process improvements, digitization, innovation pilots and best-practice sharing across the Early Careers community
Profile & skills
Strong program manager who can drive multiple priorities with speed and structure
Influences and aligns stakeholders at all levels, building strong partnerships with coaches, tutors, and business leaders to enable program success
Understands early careers talent and campus dynamics, bringing relevant outside-in thinking to keep the program future-fit
Designs smart interventions that build capability and address evolving business and talent needs
Uses data and insights to guide decisions, spot patterns and elevate program effectiveness
Clear, confident communicator who can simplify, connect the dots and engage diverse audiences
Highly collaborative team player with a growth mindset and strong ownership as an individual contributor
Desirable
Proven experience of managing senior stakeholders, internal and external and delivery through others
Demonstrated strong organizational awareness and business understanding
What You Need To Succeed
EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Experience - 6+ Years experience
Educational Qualification- Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Personnel Management/ Human Resource Management.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED: Program Management, Stakeholder management, Early Careers Talent Acumen, Strategic thinking, Communication, Coaching Orientation and Empathy.
