Overview

CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. For this critical role, we are looking for the candidate to be based in Mumbai. Given the business requirements of this role, you are expected to frequently travel to our Mumbai office/location office.

We are seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Manager for our Record to Report (R2R) function. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role within a listed company, having implemented Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (C.A.) with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) setup, preferably within the service industry, and active involvement in SOX audits are essential attributes for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and within the stipulated timeframes.
  • Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial records and safeguarding of company assets.
  • SOX Compliance: Lead and coordinate SOX compliance activities, including risk assessments, control documentation, testing, and remediation of deficiencies.
  • Audit Management: Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and efficient completion of audits and resolution of any audit findings.
  • Financial Systems: Ensure the effective use and management of financial systems, driving continuous improvement and automation of processes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis to drive business decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, tax, treasury, and legal, to ensure alignment and support for financial reporting objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring the company’s compliance with all relevant requirements.

Qualifications And Prerequisites

  • Chartered Accountant (C.A.) qualification with 3 years of experience in a similar role at a listed company.
  • Expertise in Ind AS and IFRS with hands-on experience in Ind AS implementation.
  • Proven experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment, preferably in the service industry.
  • SOX audit expertise, including risk assessment, control documentation, and testing.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and financial systems.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience interacting with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work aspects.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and process automation in financial operations.
