Assistant Manager Finance Controller

Role Summary

The Assistant Manager Finance Controller will support the Finance Controller in driving financial accuracy, profitability analysis, and cost control across retail stores and business operations. The role involves managing financial reporting, store performance analysis, budgeting, compliance, and supporting business decisions with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Accounting
• Prepare monthly P&L for brand, region, and store level with detailed variance analysis vs. budget.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing in line with accounting policies.
• Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts in coordination with retail operations, merchandising, and marketing teams.
• Track sales performance, margins, and store profitability.
• Present monthly MIS dashboards highlighting sales trends, expense deviations, and profitability KPIs.
• Analyze rent-to-sales ratio, manpower cost, and other retail performance indicators.
• Business Partnering
• Act as a finance business partner to retail operations, providing financial insights for decision-making.
• Evaluate new store proposals, ROCE, and payback analysis.
• Support marketing spend analysis and ROI tracking for campaigns and promotions.
• Advise business teams on pricing, discounting, and margin improvement.
• Cost Control & Process Improvement
• Monitor controllable expenses (rent, utilities, manpower, and marketing).
• Identify areas of cost optimization across stores and HO.
• Support process simplification and SAP efficiency.
