At AtkinsRéalis, we are looking for bright minds to join our Environment (ENV) team as Apprentices. This is your chance to move beyond textbooks and work on real-world projects involving Carbon Assessment, ESG, Renewable Energy, and Environmental Impact Assessments.
Your role
Work as part of the AtkinsRéalis Environment (ENV) team with wider involvement in different sectors.
Work on a range of projects relating to Sustainability Certification / Carbon Assessment and LCA / ESG / Renewable or Green Energy / Building Physics / Climate Resilience and Adoption / Micro-climate Assessments / Air quality / Environmental Consenting.
Well versed with data analysis / characterisation / modelling / data management.
Work to high standards, ensuring the right first-time delivery.
Showcase capabilities on data analysis, management, interpretation and data visualisation applications.
Ownership of the work of self.
Contribute to technical discussions/meetings positively through knowledge sharing.
About You
Bachelorsin Civil Engineering (B.Tech. / B.E.) or Mastersin Water Resources Engineering / Environmental/ Civil Engineering (M.Tech. / M.E.) or Construction Technology & Management / Structural Engineering or Mastersin Environmental / Earth Sciences (M. Sc) from a recognised University.
Completed graduation or post-graduation in Civil/ Water Resources/ Environmental/ Architecture/ Planning/ Related in 2023 / 2024 / 2025.
Good report writing skills and fluency in English.
Completed bachelorS or masters degree with handson knowledge on characterisation plotting techniques, modelling tools, and technical reporting.
Willingness to learn tools (OneClickLCA or similar, EnergyPlus / IES or similar, Power BI), with training provided.
Candidates should have a clear and demonstrable technical understanding of environmental planning, modelling, environmental impact assessments, hydrogeology, contamination, air quality related studies, including hydrological aspects.
Desired qualifications:
Awareness on design, analysis, drafting and BIM integration tools and platforms (Autodesk REVIT, Navisworks etc).
Interest in LCA/carbon accounting and green ratings (LEED/BREEAM or similar).
Interest in Energy Modelling - on building physics and green rating systems.
Willingness to pursue sustainability certifications.
Demonstrable knowledge of environmental or hydrogeological modelling (FEFLOW / MODFLOW / LEAPFROG / AQUETESOLV) as part of academic projects.
Experience in using design or hydrologic or air quality (AERMOD) modelling for academic projects is preferred.
Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS or QGIS) is preferred.
