Assistant Manager
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager will be responsible for driving P&L reporting and analysis, tracking key performance indicators, and partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support business decision-making.
Key Deliverables
- Own end-to-end P&L reporting — preparation, review, and timely circulation of monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L statements.
- Drive variance analysis — compare actuals against budget/forecast, investigate deviations, and present clear explanations to stakeholders.
- Hold the team and business accountable to KPI targets, tracking performance regularly and flagging risks to delivery.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across finance, business, and operations teams to ensure alignment on numbers, priorities, and timelines.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, working with business teams to build realistic and data-backed plans.
- Identify and drive process improvements in reporting and analysis to improve accuracy and turnaround time.
Requirements
- Finance background — CA (1- 3 years of experience).
- Strong analytical ability with attention to detail in financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Excel; SQL query writing knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
