About the Role
We are seeking an aggressive, results-driven Content Licensing & Merchandising Manager / Senior Manager who loves closing deals.

This is a highly entrepreneurial, sales-heavy role. You will be responsible for the entire pipeline: first, reaching out to creators and studios to acquire high-value IPs; second, pitching and licensing those IPs to major platforms; and third, onboarding manufacturing partners to turn those IPs into profitable merchandise (specifically focusing on Apparel and Toys).

If you are a smooth negotiator who knows how to hustle, build rapport with IP holders, and drive hard sales closures, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

1) IP Acquisition & Inbounding:

a) Proactively hunt, connect, and build relationships with IP holders, animation studios, Bollywood creators, and gaming developers to secure representation rights for their properties.

b) Convince creators and IP owners of SkyBlue’s capabilities to monetize and elevate their content.

2) Platform Pitching & Sales Closure:

a) Pitch acquired IPs to domestic and international OTT platforms, broadcasters, digital networks, and syndication partners.

b) Drive the sales process end-to-end—from initial cold outreach and pitching to commercial negotiations and contract closure.

3) Merchandising & Retail Monetization:

a) Pitch the represented IPs to retail brands, D2C companies, and manufacturers to launch co-branded consumer products, with a core focus on Apparel and Toys.

b) Secure minimum guarantees (MGs) and lucrative royalty structures from merchandising licensees.

4) Account & Pipeline Management:

a) Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking all outreach, active pitches, and deal statuses.

b) Coordinate with internal legal and finance teams to wrap up contract vetting and invoicing smoothly.

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Experience: 5 years plus of hardcore sales, business development, or client-facing experience in media syndication, celebrity management, ad-sales, or brand licensing.

· Core Competency: A proven track record of closing sales deals. You must be comfortable with aggressive pitching, cold calling, and handling objections.

· Industry Knowledge: A solid grasp of how IP licensing, syndication rights, and merchandising royalty models work.

· Network: Existing relationships with content creators, production houses, or retail brands in Mumbai is a massive advantage.

· Communication: Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills. You must be able to command a room and pitch effectively to C-level executives.
