Job Title - Associate Director, Legal & Regulatory

​Reporting To - Senior Director- Legal & regulatory

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate, review and finalise multiple categories of contracts including artist agreements, production agreements, content license agreements, merchandise license agreements, artist/ author agreements, revenue deals, syndication deals, marketing, service provider, etc;
• Independently negotiate and finalise the agreements with third parties/ third party law firms;
• Assist and advise the business team regarding various legal issues involved in business and commercial transactions including the rights advisory;
• Conduct due diligence, rights check, audit activities and database management;
• Working on ad-hoc projects for the legal team including streamlining/ reviewing system/ process/ SOP, artificial intelligence tools research/ projects etc., creating templates for reporting, agreements etc;
• Co-ordinate and work with multiple teams within the organisation including inter-function and intra-function;
• Draft contest terms and conditions and to ensure that the necessary dos and don’ts thereto are followed by the teams

• Enthusiastic, well-organized, ethical, hard-working team player (with the ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment and under pressure, if required), willingness to learn, ability to multi-task and work with changing priorities, solution-oriented approach.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills, excellent English communication, strong advocacy skills and good understanding of copyright and general contract laws preferably having media experience

Preferred Education & Experience

• 8 years PQE
• Experience in media/entertainment, digital platforms, broadcast networks, or law firms with IP/media focus
