Les écoles Azrieli Talmud Torah | Herzliah Schools is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, and values-driven Director of Junior High School to lead our Grades 7–9 division. This role is a unique opportunity to shape a critical stage in students’ development — bridging elementary and high school — while fostering academic excellence, strong identity formation, and a vibrant student life.
The Director will provide instructional leadership, oversee student life and well-being, and cultivate a culture of respect, engagement, and growth for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure alignment with Ministry requirements and school standards
- Support teachers through coaching, supervision, and professional development
- Promote innovative and engaging teaching practices tailored to early adolescents
- Monitor student progress and support differentiated instruction and intervention.
Student Life and Well-Being
- Lead the development of a strong, inclusive Junior High culture focused on belonging and identity
- Oversee student discipline, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with school values
- Implement social-emotional learning and wellness initiatives
- Support and supervise student life programming (clubs, events, leadership opportunities)
Transition and Pathways
- Develop and oversee transition programming from elementary to junior high and from junior high to high school
- Collaborate closely with high school leadership to ensure continuity and readiness
Team Leadership
- Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff within the Junior High division
- Foster a collaborative, professional, and growth-oriented team culture
- Lead regular team meetings and contribute to whole-school leadership initiatives
Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Communicate effectively and proactively with families
- Represent the Junior High within the broader school community
Operations and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Ministry regulations and school policies
- Contribute to scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
- Support implementation of school-wide strategic priorities
Qualifications And Experience
- Valid teaching certification (Quebec or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5–7 years of leadership experience
- Deep understanding of early adolescent development
- Strong instructional leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and engaging school environment
- Knowledge of Jewish culture is an asset
- Ability to communicate in English is an asset, to support communication with parents in our English school
