Job Description

This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment focused on hedge fund and private equity transactions in the energy transition sector. The Senior Associate will collaborate with the commercial team, managing the full lifecycle of energy transition investments. Responsibilities cover operational management, transaction oversight, deal structuring, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for energy transition transactions
  • Evaluate complex situations and propose solutions
  • Interpret and manage legal documents related to transactions
  • Update financial models and perform cash flow valuations
  • Manage and monitor financing agreements, construction draws, fundings, and distributions
  • Set up and administer new and ongoing deal structures
  • Complete due diligence and audit requests
  • Track and report on transaction status
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties
  • Partner with commercial teams and external project stakeholders
  • Review collateral and project milestones
  • Identify and communicate potential transaction issues

Qualifications: Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and analysis
  • Understanding of lending instruments, legal documents, and structures
  • Strong work ethic and attention to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to partner with commercial teams
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience with renewable energy investments or asset management
  • Background in alternative investment fund management or financial services
  • Public accounting experience
  • Strong initiative and communication skills across multiple groups
  • Experience with audits and due diligence
