Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will manage various aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:
• Process and review invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Manage the preparation and execution of check runs to meet payment deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Address and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and vendor accounts.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely payment processing and resolve any issues that arise.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure all payments are accounted for and posted correctly.
• Assist in month-end closing activities by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Monitor and respond to vendor inquiries in a thorough and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounts payable activities.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of coding invoices and processing payments.
• Familiarity with check runs and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle discrepancies effectively.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
