Job Description

The Room Service Order Taker (RSOT) is responsible for efficiently receiving and processing guest orders for In-Room Dining. The role requires excellent communication skills, product knowledge, and a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and process guest food and beverage orders via telephone or other communication systems.

Provide guests with accurate information regarding the menu, ingredients, promotions, and estimated delivery time.

Suggest and upsell menu items to enhance the guest dining experience and increase revenue.

Enter orders accurately into the POS system and communicate them to the kitchen and service team.

Coordinate with the kitchen, room service team, and other departments to ensure timely order delivery.

Handle special dietary requirements and guest preferences with proper care.

Follow up with guests regarding order accuracy and service quality when required.

Maintain proper records of orders, cancellations, and guest requests.

Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary.

Ensure confidentiality and professionalism while communicating with guests.

Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and operating hours.

Follow all hygiene, safety, and service standards.

Minimum Qualification

Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality preferred.

Minimum Job Experience
