About US

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Project Manager to lead industrial project execution at Assam. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in distillery, brewery, ethanol, food processing, manufacturing, or other industrial projects, with strong expertise in project planning, execution, team handling, vendor coordination, commissioning, and project closure.

The candidate will take complete ownership of project delivery and work closely with management, consultants, contractors, vendors, engineering teams, and plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

·        Lead projects from initial planning and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.

·        Prepare project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, resource requirements, and execution strategies.

·        Monitor project progress against approved schedules, scope, cost, quality, and safety requirements.

·        Identify project risks, delays, and dependencies and implement timely corrective actions.

·        Conduct regular project review meetings and submit progress reports to senior management.

Engineering and Site Coordination

·        Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utility, process, and structural activities.

·        Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, layouts, BOQs, and project documentation.

·        Coordinate with consultants, EPC contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and site teams.

·        Ensure proper sequencing of work and effective coordination between all project disciplines.

·        Supervise installation, erection, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and trial-run activities.

Team Leadership and People Management

·        Lead and manage project engineers, supervisors, technicians, site staff, contractors, and support teams.

·        Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

·        Conduct daily and weekly coordination meetings with internal and external teams.

·        Build a disciplined, accountable, and collaborative project execution team.

·        Resolve team-related issues, execution challenges, and interdepartmental conflicts.

·        Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project team members.

Procurement and Vendor Management

·        Coordinate with the procurement team for timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services.

·        Monitor vendor commitments, delivery schedules, quality, and technical compliance.

·        Review vendor documents, inspection reports, quotations, and work completion records.

·        Coordinate with vendors and contractors for installation, testing, commissioning, and warranty support.

·        Support commercial discussions, variation orders, and contract-related matters.

Cost, Quality, and Safety Control

·        Monitor project expenditure and ensure execution within the approved budget.

·        Track material consumption, contractor bills, work measurements, and project-related costs.

·        Ensure compliance with approved designs, technical standards, quality procedures, and specifications.

·        Conduct site inspections and ensure closure of quality issues and pending work.

·        Maintain strict compliance with EHS policies, site safety procedures, and statutory requirements.

·        Ensure contractors follow appropriate safety practices and use required PPE.

Commissioning and Handover

·        Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and stabilization activities.

·        Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams during trial runs and plant handover.

·        Ensure all punch points, snag lists, documentation, and pending activities are closed.

·        Prepare and maintain as-built drawings, test reports, commissioning records, SOPs, and handover documents.

·        Support the operations team during the initial stabilization and post-commissioning period.

Industry Experience Required

Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

·        Distillery or ethanol plants.

·        Brewery or beverage manufacturing.

·        Food processing or chemical plants.

·        Manufacturing or process industries.

·        Industrial equipment installation and commissioning.

·        EPC, turnkey, or greenfield/brownfield industrial projects.

·        Utilities, boilers, ETP, WTP, piping, tanks, and plant infrastructure projects.

Qualification

·        B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

·        Diploma holders with extensive and relevant industrial project experience may also be considered.

·        PMP, Prince2, or other project management certification will be an advantage.

Required Skills

·        Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial project execution.

·        Proven experience in independently heading and delivering projects.

·        Strong team-handling and leadership capabilities.

·        Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.

·        Experience with contractors, consultants, vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams.

·        Knowledge of industrial equipment installation, piping, utilities, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning.

·        Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

·        Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera, or similar project management tools.

·        Strong problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills.

·        Willingness to work at the project site in Sipajhar, Assam.
