Job Overview
Join a fast-paced Trade Operations team supporting environmental commodity markets by managing contract execution, inventory accuracy, trade settlements, and operational workflows. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate delivery and receipt of environmental commodities, maintaining data integrity across internal and third-party systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Execute accurate receipts and deliveries of environmental commodities across multiple trading platforms while maintaining accuracy under high-volume workloads.
Manage inventory and ensure transactions are accurately recorded across internal databases and third-party tracking systems.
Coordinate contract creation, trade execution, and fulfillment while ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Serve as the primary point of contact for counterparties regarding trade execution, contractual obligations, and transaction inquiries.
Collaborate with Sales, Accounting, Contracts, Trading, and Technology teams to ensure complete documentation and seamless trade processing.
Support reconciliations, audits, reporting, data analysis, and other operational projects.
Maintain accurate database records and provide internal teams with transaction and contract-related information.
Quickly learn and adapt to multiple business systems, including supporting the migration to a new Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform.
Identify process improvements, automate manual workflows, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and risk reduction.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
1–3 years of experience in trade operations, commodity finance, trading floor operations, or a similar environment preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and data manipulation.
Experience working with databases; SQL Server Management Studio or SQL knowledge is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to manage large, complex datasets while maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements, automate manual tasks, and support operational scalability.
Comfortable learning new technologies and working across multiple systems, including ETRM platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Curious, coachable, adaptable, and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Familiarity with Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs) is an advantage.
