Sr SharePoint And Power Platform Developer

Position Summary

The Senior Developer is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications and services that underpin critical commercial and business processes.

The role provides strong technical expertise across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to both change initiatives and run activities. The Senior Developer plays a key role in ensuring solution quality, performance, security, and maintainability, while supporting continuous improvement and engineering best practices.

The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and acts as a technical reference within delivery teams, collaborating closely with Business Analysts, SME’s, Solution Architects, and other developers to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet business needs

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery / Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust technical implementations.
• Support integration between enterprise systems, services, and platforms.
• Contribute to change initiatives by delivering enhancements, new features, and technical improvements.
• Provide leadership in managing and delivering work from the assigned Jira tickets, ensuring items are well understood, technically sound, and delivered efficiently.
• Closely involved in full SDLC including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment

Operational Ownership & Support

• Participate in run activities, including incident analysis, defect resolution, and performance optimization.
• Balance delivery across change initiatives and run activities, ensuring production stability and continuous improvement are maintained.
• Guide the resolution of complex incidents and recurring defects through structured root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
• Take shared responsibility for the stability, performance, and reliability of production systems within the team’s scope.
• Provide guidance to developers on operational support practices, including monitoring, incident management, and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in production and development environments

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Contribute to solution design and technical decision making within delivery teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced developers when required.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts and SMEs to refine backlog items, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment with platform constraints and priorities.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practice

• Identify and address technical debt to improve long term maintainability and stability.
• Drive reduction of technical debt by identifying systemic issues and ensuring they are prioritized and addressed through the backlog.
• Support the definition of development standards and operational best practices to ensure consistent delivery and supportability.

Documentation & Standards

• Ensure code quality through adherence to development standards, best practices, and peer reviews.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and governance standards

Specialism: SharePoint & Power Platform

• Develop and maintain SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams solutions.
• Build and deploy site templates using PnP Provisioning templates and develop custom SPFx web parts.
• Design and implement Power Platform solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps and Power Pages.
• Design robust workflows and process automations with Power Automate (including error handling, logging, and retry strategies).
• Integrate Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive etc.) and support cross-platform collaboration via connectors and REST APIs.
• Develop and consume Azure Functions and Logic Apps for backend processing and system integrations.
• Build secure, authenticated custom connectors using OAuth2 and Azure AD App Registrations.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience in a software development role within an enterprise environment.
• Proven experience delivering and supporting business‑critical applications.
• Experience working in cross‑functional, multi‑disciplinary teams.
