Import Export Officer - Female

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import/Export Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing the import and export activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role requires a strong understanding of the logistics and compliance processes involved in international trade.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee import and export operations to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare and review import/export documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Monitor shipments to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
- Resolve any logistical and documentation issues that arise during the shipment processes.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers to handle inquiries and provide updates on shipments.
- Maintain records of all import and export transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and regulatory changes affecting international trade.

Requirements:

- 1-2 years of experience in import/export operations or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with vendors, shipping agents, and customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to interpret and apply compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Certification in import/export operations or related field is desirable.
- Good understanding of global shipping routes and international logistics.
