Tendering Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience supporting engineering consultancy tenders, proposals, and prequalification work. Skilled at reviewing client requirements, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, preparing compliant submissions, and supporting cost estimation, proposal development, and business development for new and existing clients. The ideal candidate holds a technical degree, brings a similar background, and reflects the company's core values of commitment, client focus, integrity, and innovation.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Review tender documents, scope of work, and submission instructions to identify the key technical, commercial, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including methodology inputs, compliance matrices, project references, CV coordination, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with discipline engineers, project managers, estimation, legal, finance, and business development teams to gather accurate inputs.
  • Support cost estimates, manhour calculations, resource plans, and proposal timelines under senior guidance.
  • Track client clarifications, addenda, and correspondence, and coordinate timely internal responses.
  • Manage proposal reviews, formatting, document control, and final submission packages for consistency and compliance.
  • Maintain tender trackers, submission records, proposal libraries, and lessons learned to speed up future bids.
  • Align proposed services with client needs, project specifications, and regulatory requirements to shape tailored consultancy solutions.
  • Follow up on submitted proposals, client feedback, and approvals, and support handover of awarded projects to the execution team.
  • Manage prequalification activities with new and existing clients, including registrations, capability submissions, and document updates.
  • Monitor market opportunities, competitors, client frameworks, and sector trends to inform tendering and BD strategy

Education and Skills Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferrable Electrical) from a recognized institution.
  • Proven experience in tendering in engineering design or construction industry.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex project requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  • Professional certifications and accreditations are highly desirable, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and industry leadership.
