Blend-eds product already wins
customers — training companies around the world find us, and the ones who
already know they have a problem buy. Heres our honest gap: were good at
building and good at getting people in the door, but were not sellers. We
close the people who arrive convinced. We need someone who can close everyone
else — who can take a lukewarm “were thinking about it” and turn it
into a signature. Thats you. Youll be the first person here whose whole job
is closing, which means youre not stepping into a machine — youre building
the one everyone after you will use.
Now, for you who dont know
Blend-ed — were an AI-first Learning platform, and one of 12 official global
Open edX partners. We work with training providers and corporate clients across
the globe, with some genuinely strong logos already on our shelf, delivering platform
to run high-stakes training that people actually depend on.
We bring the leads. You close
the deals. Our go-to-market is already running — pipeline comes in warm,
the CRM and demo flow and pitch are in place, and we know roughly what lands.
Whats missing is the craft of actually selling: creating urgency where theres
only mild interest, surfacing the pain a buyer hasnt fully admitted yet, and
moving a deal instead of waiting for it to move itself.
We sell an LMS into the
professional-training world, with deals in the five-figure USD range. Those
arent impulse buys — theres a training head who feels the pain, an L&D
lead who has to trust the tool, and often a procurement or finance gate at the
end. The real work is holding that together and driving it forward:
• Take the warm pipeline we generate and convert far more
of it than we do today — including the deals that would quietly stall if left
alone.
• Build demand, not just answer it. The best
version of you creates the need in the room; you dont wait for a buyer to
arrive pre-sold.
• Run five-figure, multi-stakeholder deals to signature
without them going dark over the weeks it takes.
• Tell us the truth about whats working. Youll hear the
same objections and requests on repeat — the founders need to know what they
are.
And this isnt a finished
machine. A lot still has to be figured out and built: the demo can be re-cut,
the pitch reworked, the process reshaped. If something weve built isnt ideal,
you have the room — and the mandate — to rebuild it.
(These
are our proposed milestones — wed shape the exact targets with you in week
one.)
1. Take over the live pipeline and close it. Re-qualify
every warm opportunity, drive the real ones to a decision, and prove you can
convert deals that we, honestly, would have let drift.
2. Turn maybes into wins. Find the deals sitting in
“thinking about it,” build the urgency thats missing, and bring a meaningful
share of them across the line — the conversion the current team cant create on
its own.
3. Sharpen the sell. Go through our demo, pitch,
and messaging with a sellers eye, and rework the parts that dont land. Where
somethings missing, build it.
4. Map how a Blend-ed deal really gets bought — who
feels the pain, who signs, how long it takes, and the objections that recur —
so the motion is repeatable instead of instinctive.
5. Set up a tight feedback loop with product, so
what you learn in live deals actually shapes what we build next.
Youve done
this before (non-negotiables)
• Youve closed B2B software deals full-cycle in the
five-figure range — not just booked meetings, but owned deals through to a
signed contract.
• You create demand, you dont just take orders. Youve
turned lukewarm interest into closed deals and can point to where you did it.
• Youve sold to international, English-speaking buyers,
and your spoken and written English is clear and confident enough to run a
first call with a stranger and be taken seriously.
• Youre
comfortable being the entire sales function for a while —no sales playbook, no
script, no safety net.
• You can keep a five-figure, multi-stakeholder deal
alive and moving over several weeks without it going dark.
You might also
bring (differentiators)
• Youve sold into L&D, HR-tech, corporate training,
or education, and you already speak the buyers language.
• Youve been an early or first AE somewhere — youve
built process where there was none and liked it.
• You treat product feedback as part of the job — you
close and you report back what you heard.
• Youre disciplined about CRM hygiene and forecasting,
so the founders always know where things really stand.
• Youve sold across global time zones and can flex your
day to catch a buyer in another part of the world.
Were about 20 people. The
product already wins, and the pipeline already flows — the one thing between
Blend-ed and real growth is turning that interest into revenue at a far higher
rate than founders-who-arent-salespeople can. Thats you. This is the hire
where the selling finally gets done properly.
And because the sales craft here
starts with you, so does the sales culture. The way you close, the demand you
learn to create, the parts of the process you rebuild — that becomes how
Blend-ed sells from here on. With ESOP on the table, the growth you drive isnt
only the companys upside. Its yours too.
If you want a seat where the
pipeline is warm, the product is proven, and the closing is genuinely yours to
own, this is it.
