QA-QC Engineer

Position Overview:-

We are seeking an experienced QAQC Engineer for our DTC Good Earth project at Badu Road, Madhyamgram. This role is critical to ensuring construction quality standards are maintained throughout all execution phases at the site level. The successful candidate will be responsible for complete quality control at the site for all execution activities, material inspection, and testing procedures, directly contributing to our promise of delivering exactly what we commit to our customers.

Site Quality Control & Execution:-

• Daily Quality Supervision: Lead on-site quality control for all construction execution activities, ensuring 95%+ compliance with drawings and specifications
• Real-time Monitoring: Conduct continuous quality checks during concrete pours, structural work, and finishing activities
• Execution Quality: Ensure all construction activities meet tolerance requirements with zero major non-conformance.
• Site Documentation: Maintain comprehensive daily quality records and inspection reports for management review
  
  

Material Inspection & Testing Activities:-

• Material Inspection Leadership: Oversee all incoming material inspection and approval processes with 100% compliance to specifications
• TMT Bar Testing: Lead comprehensive TMT bar testing (mechanical, chemical, grade verification), ensuring zero material acceptance deviations
• Concrete Quality Control: Monitor daily concrete operations, conduct slump tests, cube testing, and maintain standard deviation within prescribed limits
• Testing Coordination: Coordinate with external laboratories for material testing and ensure timely report submission within 24-48 hours
  
  

Construction Quality Assurance:-

• Structural Quality: Review reinforcement placement, check cover blocks, and verify BBS implementation with a 2-3mm accuracy tolerance
• Formwork Supervision: Oversee formwork installation, check alignments, levels, and ensure floor-to-floor tolerance compliance
• Foundation Quality: Monitor excavation, foundation laying, waterproofing, and backfilling activities, ensuring specification adherence
• MEP Coordination: Ensure quality standards for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in work during construction phases. Site Process & Compliance
  
  

Site Process Compliance:-

• Quality Process Implementation: Implement site-specific quality procedures and ensure 90%+team adoption across all trades
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to IS codes, local building regulations, and DTC Group quality standards
• Non-conformance Management: Identify, document, and resolve quality issues before they impact project timelines.
• Contractor Coordination: Work directly with contractors to maintain quality standards and resolve execution issues on-site.

Requirements

Education & Experience:-

• Minimum 8-15 years of hands-on experience in site-level quality control for residential construction projects
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
• Proven track record of managing site quality for projects worth ₹50+ crores
• Direct experience in day-to-day site supervision and material inspection activities
  
  

Technical Expertise:-

Site Quality Control: Extensive hands-on experience with residential construction quality management and daily site operations

Material Testing: Practical experience with construction material testing, laboratory coordination, and quality certification

Construction Standards: Working knowledge of IS codes, construction specifications, and quality tolerance requirements

Local Knowledge: Familiarity with West Bengal construction practices and local material suppliers

Preferred Experience:-

• Batching Plant Operations: Experience in handling and supervising batching plant operations, quality control of RMC production, and concrete mix design compliance
• Complete Project Lifecycle:
• Construction Industry Background- Candidates who have handled both civil structural work and finishing activities in construction projects
• Real Estate Background: Candidates with experience managing the complete project cycle from civil foundation work through to finishing activities in residential developments
• Mivan Formwork System: Hands-on experience with Mivan (aluminium formwork) system installation, quality checks, and tolerance management
  

Software & Tools:-

• Hands-on experience with testing equipment and material inspection tools
• Working knowledge of Excel for quality data recording and analysis
• Basic AutoCAD skills for drawing review and dimensional verification
• Construction quality documentation and reporting systems
