Salary: 16,640 - 17,680 Euros / 18.34 lakh - 19.48 lakh INR Gross per Annum (1,386.67 - 1,473.33 Euros / 1,52,801 - 1,62,352 INR Gross per Month)


Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Heavy Truck Driver to join our road construction team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting construction materials, aggregates, asphalt, machinery, and equipment to and from road construction sites while ensuring safe, efficient, and timely deliveries. In addition to driving duties, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out manual work related to the assigned job whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

 Operate heavy goods vehicles, including tipper trucks and other construction transport vehicles, in a safe and responsible manner.

 Transport aggregates, asphalt, sand, gravel, construction materials, and road construction equipment to various project sites.

 Ensure materials are loaded, secured, transported, and unloaded safely.

 Maintain accurate delivery records, vehicle logbooks, fuel usage, and transport documentation.

 Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules while complying with Maltese traffic regulations.

 Work closely with site supervisors, machine operators, and logistics personnel to ensure timely material deliveries.

 Assist with loading and unloading materials when required.

 Keep the assigned vehicle clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.

 Adhere to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and construction site safety procedures.

 Report accidents, delays, breakdowns, or incidents promptly.


Requirements

 Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence (Category C or CE or an equivalent licence recognized in Malta).

 Minimum 2 years of heavy truck driving experience, preferably within the road construction or civil engineering sector.

 Experience operating tipper trucks or similar heavy construction vehicles.

 Good knowledge of road safety regulations and safe driving practices.

 Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when required to meet project deadlines.

 Basic knowledge of spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

 Previous experience in road construction or infrastructure projects.

 Experience transporting asphalt, aggregates, and heavy construction equipment.

 Knowledge of construction site health and safety procedures.

 Valid CPC qualification or equivalent is considered an advantage.
