Job Description

1. Performing the Lab analysis on daily basis each section of plant operations.
2. Hazardous waste management and its inventory maintenance
3. Daily report preparations.
4. Issuing job orders and follow-up with concerned department
5. Maintaining Lab related documentation
6. Site & Statutory Hazardous waste management rules and guidelines strictly to be ensured and followed.
7. Hazardous waste segregation to be ensured in Hazardous waste storage shed and designated areas.
8. Calibration of equipments and instruments through the suppliers.
9. Maintaining the 3rd party monitoring system / Carryout the Environmental monitoring through third party.
10. Also responsible for the work of his senior and in the absence of senior.
11. Perform TBTs to shop floor staff and O&M staff.
12. Rain Water Management to be followed viz., Collection, treatment, reuse in utilities.
13. Supporting to EMS coordinator to prepare the EMS documentation as per ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 18001:2018

14. Supporting for SEP/ SOP preparation for lab related procedures.

15. Scrap yard material monitoring and panning to the disposal.

16. Adequate PPE to be provided to helpers/casuals.

Water and waste water ( Effluents samples ) samples analysis for ZLD samples including pH, COD, BOD, TDS, Ammonia, DO, MLSS, MLVSS, SVI, and Alkalinity to ensure efficient ETP and ZLD operations.

• calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory instruments including pH meter, conductivity meter, turbidity meter, and analytical balances in accordance with SOPs.

• Performed jar testing and process monitoring to optimize coagulation, flocculation, and biological treatment performance.

• Managed laboratory operations, preparation of standard solutions, chemical inventory control, procurement activities, and analytical documentation.

• Prepared and reviewed SOPs, laboratory records, technical reports, and environmental compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Coordinated and supported environmental inspections and audits conducted by regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

• Managed hazardous waste disposal activities through authorized agencies and coordinated with cement industries for co-processing and safe disposal.

• Prepared and maintained regulatory documentation, including Form 4 and Form 5, and monitored records related to effluent generation, hazardous waste generation, storage, and disposal.

• Monitored Online Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (AAQM) and VOC monitoring systems to ensure compliance with SPCB and CPCB emission standards.

• Administered environmental monitoring infrastructure, including IP cameras and RO permeate flow meters, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity with CPCB and SPCB servers.

• Prepared and submitted monthly, biannual, and annual environmental compliance reports to regulatory authorities within prescribed timelines.

• Developed, reviewed, and updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for environmental management activities.

• Maintained environmental records and supported continuous improvement initiatives related to regulatory compliance and environmental performance.
