A Day in the Life

The Energy-Based Devices portfolio focuses on technologies that support tissue dissection, vessel sealing, and procedural efficiency across a broad range of surgical procedures. This customer-facing commercial role partners with surgeons, operating room staff, hospital stakeholders, and channel partners to support product adoption, utilisation, and territory growth across assigned healthcare accounts.

This position is based in Kochi and is a field-based role requiring regular customer visits, operating room presence, account management activities, and engagement with healthcare professionals. Travel of approximately 70% is required within the assigned territory.

Job Description field

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, expanding product utilization, developing customer relationships, and executing territory strategies across the Energy-Based Devices portfolio. The role works closely with healthcare professionals to support product evaluations, identify growth opportunities, and achieve territory business objectives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

• Achieve territory sales targets and focus product objectives through effective account planning and customer engagement.
• Promote and support utilization of Energy-Based Devices products across hospitals, surgical center's, and healthcare institutions.
• Maintain regular operating room presence to support product evaluations, clinical use, and customer training activities.
• Develop and manage key customer accounts, including account profiling, opportunity identification, and growth planning.
• Build and strengthen relationships with surgeons, key opinion leaders, hospital stakeholders, medical associations, and Centre's of Excellence.
• Collect and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activity, product utilization trends, and procedural data.
• Organize approved educational programmes, customer engagement initiatives, and marketing activities in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, territory performance, and focus product trackers.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 6+ years OR Associate's Degree and 4+ years OR Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in surgical medical device sales.
• Current or previous experience selling Energy-Based Devices, surgical products, or high-end medical capital equipment.
• Experience supporting healthcare professionals within operating room environments.
• Experience managing hospital accounts, customer relationships, and territory sales performance.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with energy devices, electrosurgery, advanced surgical technologies, or operating room-based product portfolios.
• Experience building relationships with surgeons, hospital procurement teams, key opinion leaders, and healthcare administrators.
• Experience conducting product demonstrations, clinical evaluations, and customer education programmes.
• Experience analyzing market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to support territory growth strategies.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales operations, and commercial leadership.
