Job Overview

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking an experienced and strategic Department Head to lead the Commodity Analytics team within the Sourcing Center of Excellence. This role manages a team of three Commodity Analysts, driving should cost modelling projects and supporting corporate sourcing initiatives.

A Day In The Life

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three Commodity Analysts focused on should cost modelling, productivity identification and commodity analytics.
• Oversee the execution of supply chain and sourcing sprints/projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Guide the team in developing dashboards, analytical reports, and actionable insights for sourcing decisions.
• Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables for should cost modelling initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to drive cost optimization and process improvements.
• Ensure high-quality documentation and compliance with audit and training requirements.
• Foster stakeholder relationships and represent the Commodity Analytics team in management meetings.
• Champion continuous improvement, best practices, and technology adoption within the team.
  
  

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of validated experience in sourcing, procurement, or commodity analytics, including team leadership.
• Advanced proficiency in analytical tools and databases (Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Power BI, Power Platform).
• Deep understanding of should cost modelling, input cost monitoring, and DFMA.
• Experience with SAP MM and data modeling.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage priorities, meet objectives, and drive team performance.
