The opportunity

The purpose of the global EY organization is to Build a Better Working World. The insights and services the organization provides help to drive long-term value for clients, people and society and to build trust in the capital markets. An essential function under EY Business Enablement, Supply Chain Services (SCS) is a global team with more than 600 professionals in over 35 countries supporting the EY organization across the globe. This structure helps enable knowledge-sharing across categories and regions, streamlining efforts in seeking innovative suppliers that can provide exceptional client service to maximize SCS’s value for the EY organization and the worlds supply chain.

A key component of SCS is Global Procurement, whose purpose is to drive significant synergies and value creation from sourcing to contract lifecycle management, deliver exceptional client experiences and build more vital collaboration to manage Technology, Talent, Alliances and Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) spend categories. We forge meaningful supplier relationships and strengthen supplier resilience to help EY maximize long-term value for its people, clients and communities.

Information Security is a key function within EY Technology and a fundamental part of all EY operations. The InfoSec team takes a proactive approach to protecting EY’s brand and information assets, personal data, and client information during its creation, processing, transmitting, and storage. Within Global Procurement, our Technology Sourcing team supports key programs and solutions globally in partnership with Information Security.

Ever-changing security requirements and complexities in our environment require a strategic leader to manage the technology sourcing demands of our InfoSec team. This role involves close cooperation with the organization at all levels and discussions with senior members of our stakeholder community. You will be responsible for sourcing execution, customer experience and vendor management in line with the Global Procurement Policy across this function.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Be a senior contributor on a Technology Procurement team, aligned to Information Security and Cyber Managed Services (CMS)
• Support strategy development/management for assigned category or functional area(s).
• Proactively manage supplier and stakeholder relationships to ensure strategic alignment.
• Negotiate software licensing, cloud-based solutions, and professional services contracts
• Lead complex projects, conduct market analysis, and benchmarking across functional area.
• Manage key supplier relationships and full contract lifecycle for assigned suppliers/programs
• Maintain a good working knowledge of industry trends and category best practices
• Pro-actively lead contract negotiations and mitigate risk for assigned projects/supplier
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy of all projects, contracts, and savings reporting.
• Support Supply Chain Services’ overall global strategic priorities and KPIs

• Experience of working in a Sourcing/Procurement/Supplier Management team in a complex and global environment.
• Fluent, effective, transparent, and timely English communication skills required across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc.) in a global environment.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for change.
• Provide exceptional Client Service.
  
  

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 7 - 10 years of experience sourcing technology goods and services.
• In depth understanding of software, SaaS and hosted solutions
• Extensive experience leading global software negotiations, including commercial terms, SLAs.
  
  

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Working knowledge of Information Security industry, category, and suppliers
• Business Degree or equivalent qualifications such as CIPS or CPSM certification.
• Experience working in an IT role as part of delivering technology solutions is a plus
