As part of the GE India Multi-modal Manufacturing team, the Quality inspector is responsible
for establishing an efficient and continually improving quality systems as per AS 9100-D and
internal GE QMS norms. Own & drive key Quality deliverables in the projects including
analysis & certifying aviation hardware per internal quality inspection requirement.

Job Description
Roles Overview:
The position will report to the Quality Manger in MCOE
Responsible to carry out In process inspections in quality per internal QMS procedural requirements for machined components.
Work closely with manufacturing / production & Quality system teams to develop and implement AS 9100 procedures & systems & support driving end-to-end production.

Willingness to work & get qualified to Cross functional quality cells Such as FPI, FI, FAI &
DSQR, CMM along with working with HPT teams for daily analysis of yield improvement,
EHS & process improvisation projects.
Contribute to continual improvement through audit programs, assessment / of various
non-conformances and driving corrective actions identified through Root Cause Analysis.
Understanding of site quality QMS procedures & policies.
Understanding of process & yield improvement tools like RCA, KAIZENS, 7 QC tools,
PFMEA, SPC, MSA etc.
Providing support to shop operations, design, and manufacturing to assure
effective Quality Assurance
Maintaining awareness of the latest inspection techniques & processes and their beneficial
and limiting aspects for optimum application
Aware about ERP system (Oracle)
Actively contributing to non-conformance event management & analysis.
Basic knowledge of welding inspection process.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate shall have good understand of Gauge such as VMM, Muller gauge, Height gauge, FARO, Calipers requirement during In process Inspection Good to have worked in aviation environment.
Understand the Quality requirements ,Specification etc. should understand the problem solving methods such as 3 x 5 why, 8D and Kaizens etc.
Should know the nonconforming management, MRB , Hands on experience in oracle.
Knowledge of S-1002, AS9102, AS9145 FAI requirement and performed FAIs of aviation parts.
Qualifications/Requirements
First Class Diploma in Mechanical / Production and Automobile
Min 3 Years of Experience in Machining Quality Inspection.
Working knowledge of AS 9100, ISO9001 and internal requirements.
Strong working knowledge of GD&T, drawings & specifications interpretation
Prefrred Qualification
Strong working knowledge of GD&T, drawings & specifications interpretation
Worked in CNc Machining for aerospace components
Knowledge about Gauge development
