Primary Responsibility:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the Bank’s overall financial strategy, regulatory governance, capital planning, compliance framework, and financial reporting. The role requires deep expertise in banking finance, RBI regulations, corporate credit, risk governance, and board-level financial management.

The CFO will act as a strategic advisor to the MD and Board, ensuring financial stability, regulatory excellence, capital adequacy, and sustainable profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Business Planning

Formulate and execute long-term financial strategy aligned with business growth objectives.

Lead Annual Business Plan, Budgeting, and Capital Expenditure planning.

Drive profitability improvement, NII growth, and cost optimization.

Monitor Assets (Retail & Corporate Advances) and Liabilities (CASA, Deposits).

2. Financial Reporting & Controls

Oversee quarterly and annual financial statement preparation.

Ensure timely completion of Statutory Audit and Internal Audit.

Maintain robust Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR).

Present financial results to Board and Senior Management.

Monitor expense control and financial discipline across divisions.

3. Regulatory & Compliance Governance

Ensure submission of statutory and regulatory returns to RBI and other authorities.

Liaise with RBI inspection teams and regulatory bodies.

Oversee Income Tax, GST, and other statutory compliance.

Ensure adherence to Companies Act, SEBI (if applicable), and Banking Regulations.

4. Capital & Risk Oversight

Lead capital adequacy planning and balance sheet optimization.

Monitor asset quality, NPAs, provisioning, and stress accounts.

Engage with Credit Rating Agencies for external ratings.

Support recovery strategy including IBC/NCLT cases.

5. Credit & Corporate Banking Interface

Review and present large credit proposals to Credit Committees and Board.

Monitor portfolio risk and early warning signals.

Support growth in SME and Corporate Banking segments.

6. Stakeholder & Board Management

Act as key interface between Finance, Board, Auditors, and Regulators.

Support Board Committees with financial insights and governance updates.

Ensure high standards of transparency and financial governance.
