QC Analyst

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To support the Chemical Manager in the Quality Control Raw Material Section by performing sampling, physical and chemical testing of raw materials, water testing, operation of analytical instruments, documentation, compliance activities, and ensuring adherence to GMP, cGMP, cGLP, and EHS requirements.

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with GMP, cGMP, cGLP, Data Integrity, ALCOA, ALCOA+ and Abbott Quality Standards.

• Support audit readiness, quality compliance initiatives, and EHS activities.

• Assist in achieving departmental KPIs, annual objectives, and business targets through timely completion of assigned testing, documentation, and compliance activities

• Ensure timely completion of training requirements.

• Perform sampling of raw materials according to approved procedures and SOPs.

• Conduct physical and chemical testing of raw materials as per approved specifications and pharmacopoeial requirements.

• Execute vendor trial sample testing and project-related analytical activities.

• Perform routine water testing with complete documentation.

• Perform analysis using analytical and physical testing instruments including:

• pH Meter

• Conductivity Meter

• TOC Analyzer

• Polarimeter

• Refractometer

• Viscometer

• Karl Fischer Titrator

• HPLC

• UV-Visible Spectrophotometer

• FTIR / Nano Spectrometer

• Analytical Balances

• Ensure proper operation, calibration verification, routine checks, and maintenance of assigned laboratory instruments.

Education/Knowledge & Experience:

• M.Sc. Chemistry / Pharm-D / B Pharm
• 1-2 years’ experience in the same capacity 
• Knowledge of technical problem resolution, and all other activities taking place in QC/QA.
