We are a US-based transportation (ambulance, wheelchairs, taxi, and vehicle maintenance company). This remote position is for someone looking for a challenge. We are a transportation company in Pennsylvania and New Jersey USA.

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage the procurement team. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of procurement practices.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships with strategic vendors.
Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance and support throughout the procurement process.
Monitor and analyze procurement metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance procurement efficiency and cost savings.
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies, including ethical sourcing practices.
Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and market analysis, to senior management.
Implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement to drive innovation and process improvements.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in procurement management, with a minimum of [X] years in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of procurement practices, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation.
Demonstrated experience in managing supplier relationships and driving cost savings.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Solid understanding of legal and ethical procurement standards and regulations.
Proficient in using procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Leadership abilities to effectively manage a procurement team and drive results.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential procurement risks.
Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are desirable.
