We're looking for an experienced CAD Pattern Master to develop accurate, production-ready patterns for men's and women's leather jackets and outerwear. The role requires strong expertise in CAD pattern making, grading, garment fit, construction, and manual pattern development.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and digitize accurate patterns from tech packs, physical samples, reference images, finished-garment measurements, and approved base blocks.
Develop complete production patterns for shell, lining, facing, fusing, pockets, and reinforcement components.
Amend patterns based on fit sessions, sample measurements, photographs, and technical feedback, and grade approved patterns across required US size ranges.
Ensure pattern accuracy by checking seam balance, curves, sleeve/armhole and collar/neckline compatibility, shell/lining alignment, seam allowances, grainlines, notches, drill points, and labels.
Prepare production-ready patterns for different materials and export DXF AAMA/ASTM files and full-scale PDFs for internal teams and suppliers.
Participate in base-size, fit-sample, and size-set reviews.
Maintain pattern revision history and an organized digital library of approved patterns to prevent obsolete versions from being used.
Coordinate closely with technical design, sampling, cutting, stitching, fit, and quality-control teams.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 4- 5 years of professional apparel pattern-making experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on garment CAD experience.
Proficiency in Gerber AccuMark, Lectra Modaris, Optitex, TUKAcad, or equivalent, along with strong manual pattern-making knowledge.
Experience with leather jackets, structured outerwear, coats, bombers, or similar products is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of US men's and women's sizing, grading, garment measurements, fit correction, and pattern construction.
Good technical understanding of leather behavior, lining, interfacing, hardware placement, and ability to work accurately in both inches and centimetres.
Diploma or qualification in fashion, garment technology, or pattern making is preferred; strong relevant practical experience may substitute.
