Position Overview:

The Counsellor cum Mobiliser is responsible for providing counselling support, mobilizing candidates from the community, and ensuring smooth enrolment into training and placement programs. This role combines field outreach, candidate engagement, counselling, and documentation management.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Candidate Counselling & Walk-in Management

- Welcome and assist walk-in candidates with accurate information.

- Conduct counselling sessions to guide candidates on programs and job roles.

- Assess candidates interests and eligibility.

- Ensure a positive and professional environment.


2. Psychometric Analysis

- Administer and interpret psychometric assessments to assess candidates aptitudes, interests, and personality traits.

-Use psychometric analysis to guide candidates in making informed decisions about training programs and job choices.

- Provide feedback and career guidance based on results.


3. Registration & Documentation

- Assist candidates with registration on portals and internal systems.

- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.


4. Enrolment into Training Programs

- Coordinate with the training team for smooth enrolment.

- Explain program details and benefits.

- Follow up with mobilized candidates.


5. Support for Rejected or Dropout Candidates

- Counsel rejected candidates and provide alternative options.

- Re-align candidates to suitable programs or job opportunities.


6. Community Mobilization & Outreach

- Conduct field visits, awareness campaigns, and community meetings to identify and mobilize potential candidates.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, colleges, panchayats, NGOs, and local leaders.

- Promote training programs through door-to-door visits, digital outreach, and events.

- Achieve daily and weekly mobilization targets.


7. Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.

- Coordinate with the Centre Manager for planning and review.


Requirements:

- Education: MSW or any Graduate preferably in psychology, counselling, or a related field.

- Experience: 1–3 years in mobilization, counselling, or fieldwork.

  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Good counselling and convincing ability
    • Fieldwork readiness and ability to engage with communities
    • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, MIS entry)
    • Positive attitude, confidence, and target-oriented mindset
