Assistant / Associate Professor in Nursing.This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the advancement of nursing education and research, and to shape the future of nursing professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, conducting research, providing mentorship to students, and actively participating in the academic and administrative activities of the department.

Responsibilities

• Teaching:Deliver engaging and effective lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in nursing-related courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment tools. Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking and professional growth.
• Student Mentorship:Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and advisement to students pursuing nursing degrees. Assist students in developing research proposals, conducting research, and presenting findings. Serve as a thesis/dissertation advisor for graduate students. Offer support and assistance to students in achieving their academic and professional goals.
• Curriculum Development:Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of nursing curricula. Stay updated with emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in nursing education. Incorporate evidence-based teaching strategies and technologies into instructional methodologies. Participate in curriculum evaluation and accreditation processes.
• Service and Leadership:Engage in service activities within the department, college, and university. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative responsibilities. Collaborate with colleagues on program planning, assessment, and accreditation. Contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession through involvement in professional organizations and community outreach.
• Stay abreast of advancements in nursing theory, research, practice, and education. Attend professional conferences, workshops, and seminars. Engage in professional networking and seek opportunities for continued learning and growth. Pursue professional certifications and licensures as appropriate.
  
  

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree (Ph.D., DNP, or equivalent) in Nursing or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in a specialized area of nursing practice or research.
• A strong record of scholarly research and publication in reputable journals.
• Experience in teaching nursing courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Proven ability to mentor and advise students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in nursing education and practice.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Active involvement in professional nursing organizations and commitment to professional service.
