Senior Manager – Insurance Accounting

Location: Infopark, Kochi.

Domain: Insurance Finance & Accounting (F&A)

Vertical: Life & Annuity (L&A)

Experience: 10+ years experience in GL within Insurance Finance & Accounting (Mandatory)

Minimum 4+ years of experience in a Senior Manager or Manager-level role is mandatory.

Salary Package: Up to ₹22 LPA

Reporting To: Assistant Vice President / Senior Vice President.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead the Record-to-Report (R2R) function for the Life & Annuity (L&A) insurance business,ensuring accurate financial reporting,timely closing,regulatory compliance,and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Coordinate with actuarial,underwriting, and claims teams.
Lead the team and report performance to senior management.
Lead end-to-end R2R operations for the insurance business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; CA/CPA preferred.
10+ years of experience in Insurance Finance & Accounting is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of R2R, month-end closing and journal entries.
Experience in Life & Annuity (L&A) insurance accounting is preferred.
Knowledge of IFRS 17, local GAAP, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in SAP/Oracle and advanced MS Excel.
Strong team leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Important Requirement

This is a specialized Insurance F&A – GL leadership position, not a general GL accounting role. Candidates must have relevant L&A insurance accounting exposure in addition to GL/RTR expertise.
