About the Role

Ensemble Electric is looking for a highly experienced and technically competent Senior Electrical Engineer / Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage electrical contracting projects across commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical project execution, with strong knowledge of Kerala electrical contracting practices, KSEB requirements, Electrical Inspectorate procedures and statutory approvals.

Requirements

Lead and manage electrical projects from initial planning, estimation and design coordination through execution, testing, commissioning and final handover.

• Supervise commercial, industrial and large-scale electrical installation works.

• Coordinate and manage LT/HT electrical systems, transformers, DG systems, electrical panels, cable networks, earthing systems and power distribution systems.

• Review electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams, GA drawings, BOQs, technical specifications and project documentation.

• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with applicable electrical standards, safety requirements and approved drawings.

• Handle technical coordination with clients, consultants, architects, vendors, subcontractors and site teams.

• Coordinate with KSEB, Kerala Electrical Inspectorate and other statutory authorities for approvals, inspections, energisation and project-related documentation.

• Manage feasibility applications, load enhancement, transformer-related works, power allocation and other utility liaisoning activities.

• Supervise engineers, supervisors, electricians and technicians and ensure proper allocation of manpower and resources.

• Conduct site inspections and ensure workmanship, quality and electrical safety standards are maintained.

• Plan project schedules, monitor progress and ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines.

• Identify technical issues at site and provide practical engineering solutions.

• Coordinate material selection, procurement requirements and technical evaluation of electrical equipment.

• Monitor project quantities, variations, additional works and site requirements.

• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical installations before handover.

• Prepare and verify testing reports, completion documents, as-built drawings and statutory documentation.

• Ensure strict compliance with company safety procedures and quality standards.

• B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical contracting and project execution.

• Strong practical knowledge of electrical installations for commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.

• Experience working in an A-Grade Electrical Contracting environment will be highly preferred.

• Candidates possessing a valid Kerala State Electrical Supervisor / A-Grade related licence or equivalent relevant licence will have added preference.

• Strong knowledge of KSEB procedures, Electrical Inspectorate approvals, statutory documentation and liaisoning.

• Good understanding of electrical drawings, SLDs, load calculations, cable sizing, protection systems, earthing and distribution systems.

• Experience with transformers, DG sets, AMF systems, APFC panels, MSB/SMDB panels, MCCBs, CT metering and associated electrical systems.

• Strong project management and site-management capabilities.

• Ability to independently handle multiple projects and technical teams.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Good communication and client-coordination skills.
