Job Description
• Develop and execute the BESS marketing and sales strategy, annual targets and revenue plan.
• Identify, approach and manage key accounts, EPC partners, consultants and government agencies for BESS opportunities.
• Review enquiries, technical proposals, BOQs and pricing with the Technical Manager (BESS) and approve offers within delegated authority.
• Lead bidding for BESS tenders and projects, including prequalification, commercial terms and compliance documentation.
• Develop relationships with battery, PCS and BMS suppliers/OEMs; negotiate supply terms and price benchmarks.
• Monitor the sales pipeline, forecasts and win/loss reasons; report to the COO on a regular basis.
• Ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders to execution and follow up on contract, advance and milestone payments.
• Track technology, regulations, incentives and market developments in energy storage and advise management.
• Guide, train and review performance of the BESS team.
Requirements
• B.Tech / BE in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering; MBA (Marketing) preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in solar, power electronics or energy storage sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in B2B and government/tender-based sales.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Strategic thinking and market analysis.
• Strong knowledge of BESS technologies, applications and commercial models.
• Negotiation, key account management and leadership. • Tender and contract understanding.
