EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D And A) – Senior Consultant - PowerBI Specialist

We’re looking for candidates with strong technology and data understanding in the data engineering space, having proven delivery capability. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing Data and Analytics team.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Consultant in the Data and Analytics team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality BI solutions to our clients using tools like PowerBI , Tableau and ThoughtSpot. You will leverage your expertise in data visualization, search & AI-driven analytics, and data modelling to transform complex datasets into actionable business insights. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that empower clients to make data-driven decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Be a computer science graduate or equivalent with 3–8 years of industry experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, with a strong focus on PowerBI and ThoughtSpot.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau, ThoughtSpot, including worksheet design, Liveboards and integrating ThoughtSpot with cloud or on-prem data sources.
• Experience with SQL and familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, etc.
• Ability to develop and maintain complex SQL queries to support BI reporting.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business users to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead projects independently.
• Experience in converting business problems/challenges into scalable and secure technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members in best practices for data visualization and analytics.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• PowerBI certification or equivalent credentials.
• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, etc.
• Experience with AI-powered analytics platforms like ThoughtSpot or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in a consulting environment, with exposure to various industries and business functions.
